These websites may trick you into giving away login credentials or money. Offers that seem too good to be true: Be wary of offers that sound too good to be true, or if you’re rushed into making a decision. For example, you might be told that you must reply immediately or the money will go to someone else.

Unprompted contacts: Be wary of contacts that come out of the blue. Requests for personal information: Be wary of requests for your bank or credit card details.

Premium rate numbers: Be wary of being asked to ring a premium rate number.

Overseas letters: Be wary of letters that come from overseas, or if the address is a PO Box.
